Timothy Roboto

Mechanical Lead · Mechanical

"Dōmo arigatō"

Bio

Timothy Roboto (yes, that is his real last name; no, he did not choose to join a robotics team because of it; yes, it is extremely convenient) is the Mechanical Lead of Birdspan. He is responsible for everything physical about the robot, including the Flex Tape.

Timothy's engineering philosophy is rooted in pragmatism: if it holds, it works; if it doesn't hold, add more Flex Tape. He has single-handedly elevated Flex Tape from a last resort to a primary building material, and is currently drafting a whitepaper on the subject.

Timothy has a complicated relationship with Jansen, which has produced both great robots and significant emotional incidents. He considers both outcomes acceptable.
